An exporter to 40 countries in five continents, Tramertaş seeks to increase its sales abroad by reaching new markets. Mentioning their plan to increase the global market share with the marble called ‘ Avantgarde’ first produced in 2016, Süleyman Balıbey, Chairman of Board at Tramertaş Traverten Mermer said: “Our aim is to promote this marble in the global market and to make it widely used. With Avantgarde we plan both to have a place in the domestic projects and to sell block plate and cut-to size products to the Far East countries as well as to the USA. “Balıbey mentioned their intention to increase the number of customers and to boost the production capaicty to 350 thousand squaremeters with new markets.
We believe Avantgarde will carry us in an effective position
Reporting that they process and sell the raw materials obtained from their own quarries. Süleyman Balıbey emphasized having two travertine and one marble quarries in Sivas. Saying that they aim to increase their capacity and product variety with the cut-rock and construction machine investments in the factories and quarries. Balıbey continued, “We believe we will have a more effective position in the market with our newest product named Avantgarde. First produced in 2016, this marble is dominated by grey and fume colours which have recently become fashionable. We plan to promote this product in the global market.”
“We introduced the proprietary ‘Scabos’ travertine to the global market”
Süleyman Balıbey said that in the last 18 years they created brand awareness in global market fort he ‘Scabos’ travertine, and added, “Scabos became a brand in the travertine portfolio at global scale. Our company has registered patent in Turkey and the USA. We made a brand out of the
‘Scabos’ name with its unique properties and had it registered. We also produce ‘Tuscany’ travertine. We will brandize our special Stones obtained from high reserve quarries.”

Expressing their intention to have a place in the entire global market, Balıbey said in 2018 they started exporting to Singapore, Austria, Poland, Azerbaijan and South Korea. Balıbey continued: “Today we are exporting to 40 countries in five continents. We export almost all of our products. We have franchises in USA. We extract travertine and marble blocks from our quarries which are then processed in our factory accordig to the size and shape requirements of our customers.”
