Çobanlar Group General Manager Tanju Topçu said: “Çobanlar Group, which started to introduce marbles from its own marble quarries all over the world soon after its foundation, is making production with a different quality and service understanding, by using modern technology. Our marble quarries are located in Aydın-Başalan, Mersin-Gülnar, Antalya-Kaş, Burdur regions. The other brands of our company Kommersan Marble and Birlik Marble own marble quarries in Muğla-Yumaklı and Burdur. Our quarries have an average of 30 years of reserve. We get Muğla White Marble, Calacata Oro, Calakta Verde, Calacata Gold, Blu Solare, Asgard Gray, Green Oasis, Imperial White, Lime Stone Beige, Cremina Beige, Diva Beige and Royal Beige from our quarries. We are processing our stones in Muğla (3 factories) and Mersin (1 factories). The total indoors area of our factories is 24 thousand square meters and the total production field is 115.513 square meters. Our stone that can be applied in indoor and outdoor spaces, facades, decorations (especially in fireplaces) of architectural projects and as marble covering and cladding in wet spaces thanks to its water resistant features. We aim to produce 12 thousand tons of this stone and plan to make export with 500 thousand dollars worth per month in the first phase. The markets we want to sell are China, India, Israel, America and Middle East”
The New Product of Çobanlar: Limra Marble
The Çobanlar Group, which aims to increase its product diversity and meet the natural sone needs of every country in the world, has increased its number of quarries with the latest Limra Marble quarry opened in Kaş district of Antalya in 2018. Tanju Topçu, who gives information about their quarry investment said: “Our Limra Marble stone we have obtained from our quarry with 25 years reserve is a light cream colour, spongy and soft material with sesame pattern, which can be easily processed. It can be applied as a marble floor to watery floors because it is resistant against water, water and water which are suitable for use in architectural projects, indoor and outdoor, in facades, in decorations (especially in fireplace areas) and in flooring. We aim to export 500 thousand Dollars per month in the first stage with our export plan, which we plan to produce 12 thousand tons per year. We export 60% of our production and sell 40% to the domestic market. We mainly make trade with China, America, Israel, Cyprus and India. R & D studies for colored natural stone quarries
The Çobanlar Group, which has six active quarries today and is planning to do ARGE studies for colorful natural stone quarries in the coming years, will exhibit its products in Bursa Block Natural Stone Fair, Izmir MARBLE Fair, China XIAMEN Marble Fair and Italy Marmomacc Marble Fair in 2018 and 2019.
