We talked to this successful businessman about HTS Makina’s success story and product range.
What is the establishment story of HTS Machinery and how did you gain your place in the sector?
Our company took its first steps into the sector in 2014 with the maintenance, repair and machine revisions of marble machines. In the beginning, we started this adventure in an area of 70 m² and now we are manufacturing marble machines in our factory located in Bucak Organized Industrial Zone with 3000 m2 closed area built on an area of 6000 m². The company has set out to produce machines with intelligent automation that the sector needs and has adopted “Trust, quality and reasonable price policy” as its mission. One of the main features that distinguishes our company from its peers is that it attaches great importance to environmental and social elements as well as material quality in its projects and works diligently.
The most important element of our company’s current position is the adoption of a design-oriented production method and serious investments in research and development activities. We are rapidly reaching our goals we have set with the strategy of on time production, fast and solution-oriented service that can respond to customer demands.
What are the core values of your company and how are these values reflected in the design and production processes of your products?
Customer orientation, innovation, dynamism, efficiency, social responsibility, creativity, teamwork in harmony with employees, internal learning culture, honest and open communication are among the core values of our company. Embracing change and realizing production activities that are the pioneers of change are among our basic principles. We can say that production processes on the core values of the company contribute to lean, fluid and sustainable manufacturing methods.
Can you tell us about your approach to research and development? What is the thought process behind your innovative products?
First of all, our sales and marketing team listens to the demands of the customers and gives the first spark of a working process for the missing points in the sector. The data collected from here is forwarded to the Research and Development team. Related idea scans are carried out. Our R&D team completes its work on the desired features of the product. In the following process, information about the machine is shared with certain customers in accordance with the principle of customer orientation. The goal here is that customers are also partners in the design. The strengths and weaknesses of our product are identified. After this, data on these aspects are collected from R&D personnel. The aspects in which our competitors are successful are evaluated and studies are completed in order to produce more efficient machines than our competitors. Our main goal is to realize the production of innovative products.
What is HTS Machinery’s newest product or product series? What innovations does this product/series offer? What are its features?
Our newest product is our Plate Sizing Machine named EDGE AX-7, which we encounter intense demand and interest in the domestic and foreign markets. In our product, we reveal our difference with our Precision Cutting, Automatic Layout and fast cutting options. If we briefly mention the other features of our machine;
– Sliding parts with vacuum system
– 2d cutting upload feature
– Independent tool formation control and compensation for each blade
– Linear system technology for less maintenance and longer life
– Multiple cuts from 200 mm to 3200 mm

In which markets do you operate and who are your target customers?
Currently, we have a high share among the products produced in the domestic market. We encounter serious customer demands especially in Plate Sizing Line products. If we briefly count our last 5 lines, Çiçekmersan Marble, Portsan Marble, Mercan Marble, Kar Doğaltaş Marble and Çimtaş Marble constitute our customer portfolio. In addition, apart from the sizing group, the work continues at full speed in our Factory Delivery Project that we have taken for Çimtaş Marble together with the Plate Polishing Line and Tower Furnace Lines we have produced. In the foreign market, there are serious demands for our EDGE AX-7 Product both at home and abroad. Our work on exports related to this product continues at full speed. We are planning to make our first exports of this product in 2024.
How does HTS Makine contribute to the sector and how does it make a difference compared to other companies in the sector?
Today, when we look at the marble factories in Turkey, the kiln line is one brand, the silencing line is a different brand, the sizing line is a different brand, so marble factories have serious problems in terms of service. For this reason, the machines imported to our country are preferred for being a single company. Today, HTS Machinery is the only Turkish company that manufactures Epoxy Mesh Line Honing-Uv-Slicing Line and Slab Sizing Line on a complete turnkey basis in Turkey. In the coming years, HTS Machinery will be the only domestic company in Turkey to rival Italian machinery companies with turnkey projects.
HTS Machinery contributes by meeting the demands in accordance with the principle of customer orientation by producing the machines requested by our customers in accordance with the desired demands. Considering the rapid changes in the sector, what are your future product development strategies?
In line with the demands of our customers, in the Furnace line, Plate Sizing Line and Plate Polishing Line, in accordance with the requirements of Industry 4.0, customer demands, machine and personnel efficiencies are optimized by taking into account, and to ensure the development of products that support new market formation.
