Middle East Stone International Natural Stone, Marble and Ceramic Fair, which is held in Dubai, the trade and tourism capital of BAE, wasn’t as much satisfying as in its first two years.
There was a serious decision in the third edition of the Middle East Stone Fair, due to several reasons such as the global economic and political chaos, the decline in oil prices in UAE, cancelled UR-GE project and the timing of the fair, which coincides with Ramadan Feast.
Middle East Stone Fair is held in Dubai, where massive housing projects are being constructed constantly. Construction companies pay attention to this Middle Eastern market in order to get a share from these high scale projects. However, this year the number of visitors and Turkish participants were lower than the previous years of the fair. Besides participants who are not satisfied with the fairi there were also some who have found the fair fruitful.
The interest of Turkish companies have decreased
Only 33 companies from Turkish natural stone sector participated in the Middle East Stone Fair this year. There were 67 Turkish participants companies last year. If we take into account the decline in the number of visitors and Turkish exhibitors, we can say that the Middle East Stone Fair in Dubai is about to lose appeal.
Positive message from Ladin Fair Organization Company
Nazlı Candemir Dursun, Marketing Representative of Ladin Fair and Congress Organization Services, the Turkey representative of the fair said: “The fair, which took place with the participation of 244 companies from 23 different countries in 2016, was attended by 300 companies from 26 different countries this year. When we evaluate the rising project values in the Middle East construction market, the growing number of exhibitors / visitors and the international diversity of the fair, we can say that Dubai Middle East Stone is on its way to becoming the event that will be the biggest market meeting of the Middle East. ”
A Remembrance from Aseel Marble
One of the most striking stands out of 33 Turkish companies which participated in the fair was the stand of Soylu Marble, the sister company of Aseel Marble that is operating in Dubai. Aseel Marble welcomed its visitors with Turkish baklava and presented a sand art show to them. During the fair, the sand artist made small glass vases with tailor-made desert figures for everyone who wanted to have them. Aseel Marble, which makes its mark in almost in every fair it participates with special shows it presents, attracted the attentions once again in Middle East Stone Fair. Aseel Marble also hosted a dinner for Turkish participants on the second day of the fair.
