Bilateral meetings in Verona

Companies participating in the ‘Sectoral Trade Delegation’ organized by Aegean Mineral Exporters’ Association (EMİB) within the scope of Marmomac 2018 Fair made bilateral meetings in Verona, Italy. Eight producer companies from Turkish natural stone sector participated in the ‘Veroan Sectoral Trade Delegation Organization’, made bilateral business meetings with 6 natural stone importer companies in Italy and visited the Verona Marmomacc Fair.

Closed system quarry

The EMİB President Mevlüt Kaya, informing us about the activities of the trade delegation said: “Our exhibitors were informed about the operation and history of the indoors quarry. We also visited two ancient marble quarries in Zovencedo. Zovencedo Mayor Luigina Crivellaro showed us around and informed us about the old quarries “Cava Cice”, and “Casa Rupestre“, which are now transformed into museums. These marble quarries are now used for wedding organizations, celebrations of important days and festivities. This experience has opened up our horizons. Finally; we had the opportunity to visit the showroom of the world famous Peotta Armando Company.”

EMIB President Kaya said: “The companies which participated in the “Sectoral Trade Delegation, held within the scope of Marmomac 2018 Fair, visited the stands of 1636 participants along with the

bilateral business meetings with the importing companies. Verona Fair is a platform, which brings together all producers, designers and sectoral representatives in the sector. Companies participating in the Sectoral Trade Delegation Organization signed important commercial links in Italy. They had the opportunity to see the quality natural stone applications and new natural stone processing technologies. Our companies will be able to make value added production and increase their competitiveness through integrating these successful examples into their business processes.”
