İMİB, stressing that marble, with many different textures and colors, can be used in decoration of all spaces, announced the marble trends of ‘Autumn-Winter 2018-2019’ season, We will see different shades of light grays, whites, beiges and browns this year.
Aydın Dinçer, the president of the Istanbul Mineral Exporters Association (İMİB), said: “This year, light gray, beige, and Brown shades of marble will be preferred by those who want to combine the outstanding details with classic touches and go beyond the norms and traditions in design.

President Dinçer, noting that, marble, besides being synonymous with luxury and style, will become a classic choice in the next season with its elegant look, said: “Light gray, white, beige and brown shades of marble will beautify the living spaces next season. The architects and interior designers benefiting from the developments in marble cutting techniques, make different combinations through integrating the patterns. Designers prefer marble in their design projects due to its high heat, mechanical injury resistance and different colour choices. They mostly use the stones they know in order to work comfortably in design phase.”
The importance of marble to be used in design
Dinçer claiming the importance of using local marble in designs said: “If designers and architects use the local natural stones of the region in which they make their designs, they would contribute to the economy of their country.
