Yeşilova Marble, which has 31 years of experience in the natural stone industry, is at the stake of opening new quarries.

Yeşilova Marble, which was founded in 1988 under the leadership of Cemil Çelik and being managed by the children of Cemil Çelik today, has 5 active quarries and 5 different factories. The company exports block and processed marble to markets such as China, India, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Taiwan and Oman. Çelik Family, who stated that their new quarries will start production in 2019, said: “As we carried out high quality R & D studies, we expect to have high appreciation for our products. Including our present 5 quarries, we will be activating 3 more quarries this year. One of the quarries we are getting prepared to open is Limra block marble quarry in the Finike region of Antalya. The other one is the white block marble quarry in the province of Balikesir. We are also planning to invest in a factory in Burdur Organized Industrial Zone.”

5.000.000 cubic meters of reserve

Çelik Family, who stated that the minimum reserve was found to last around 30 years (5.000.000 cubic meters) as a result of the studies and drilling (core) studies carried out in the active quarries and the new ones, claimed that the products obtained from these quarries are suitable for use in all spaces.

Rich natural stone portfolio

The Çelik Family said: “In 2018, the natural stone sector suffered from serious blood loss and there has been a change in the types of products demanded. We opened new quarries for the products that are in demand in order not to be affected by the crisis in the sector. We directed our investments in Burdur, Isparta and Antalya to AEK Marble-Marmaris and AK CRT Marble-Sandıklı quarries. In order to survive against the crises that may occur in the production of single color and quality blocks, we established a rich natural stone portfolio that appeals to all foreign buyers. These new steps have brought very positive feedback for our company. Our production and sales continued during the winter months, which were called dead periods of the season. In 2019, Yeşilova Marble will participate in Xiamen Stone (China) and Marble Izmir (Turkey) fairs and the company is planning to exhibit in Yunfu Block Marble Fair as well.
