Turkeybuild İstanbul Welcomed 85,923 visitors in its 41st year

Turkeybuild İstanbul – Building, Construction Materials and Technologies Fair, which is one of the biggest in the Balkans, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, the Middle East and North Africa regions and one of the five largest building fairs in the world, was visited by 85,923 people this year.

The 41st Building Fair – Turkeybuild Istanbul, which was organized by YEM Fair Organization Company within the body of ITE Turkey, hosted nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 17 countries in 11 halls and the outdoor exhibition space this year. The highest attention was paid by the visitors from countries such as Poland, Germany, Italy, Russia, China, Taiwan and the Czech Republic.

The fair aims to create new business, partnership and trade opportunities by transferring its strong global network to the construction sector as well as promoting and monitoring the newest products and services in the region, intends to support the strategy of the sector, facilitate knowledge transfer, encourage innovation and create interaction between public, private sector and academic dimensions of the building sector.

Tha Fair that Brings Together Sectoral Professionals

The fair, which was held at Tuyap Convention and Exhibition Center, gathered popular names such as Alastair Parvin, one of the founders of Wikihouse Foundation, architect Asif Khan and Achim Menges as well as more than 90 famous architects, industry experts and leaders.

Recycling for Schools in Need

Yapı Fuarı – Turkeybuild Istanbul, actualized an important part of its social responsibility project in its 41st year. Within the scope of the project initiated by the Association of Architects for All, the waste materials remaining after stand constructions were recycled into sitting units. These sitting units and open classroom units were donated to the Primary and Secondary Schools in Eşme Güllü Village of Uşak. 

All Subjects Related to the Sector Were Brought Up to the Agenda

* Building Fair – Turkeybuild Istanbul hosted the Business Development Platform events prepared specially for the 41st year. All the subjects related to the sector were brought up to the agenda by ‘Building Stage’ and ‘BUILDING ARENA’ programs along with ‘Building Unplugged’ workshop and ‘Building Masterclass’ architectural mastery classes.

ITE Group Region Director Kemal Ülgen, who commented on the 41st Building Fair – Turkeybuild İstanbul, said:  “As it has been for 40 years, in our 41st year we have left behind a very successful fair and we hosted nearly 1000 exhibitors from 17 countries. We have discussed about the sectoral issues with the field experts within 5 days. We gathered many famous architects and designers such as Alastair Parvin, Asif Khan and Achim Menges with the sectoral followers and draw advantage from their knowledge and experience. One of the biggest anticipations at the fairs are the foreign exhibitors and visitors. Taking advantage from the ITE Group’s global strength and thanks to the Ministry of Economy, we are very pleased with the results achieved through the Purchase Delegation Programs we have organized. We have conduced to create opportunities for new business associations by gathering more than 150 buyers from 50 countries via these two Purchase Delegations. ”
