Combining its creative identity with experience, Ermaş Mermer started production by establishing the first production line of Coante, the world’s most advanced quartz-based composite stone factory, and is preparing to put the second line of the project into production.
Coante products of Ermaş Marble, which has acquired a solid place in natural stone sector since 1985 with its researcher, innovative, productive and reliable identity, human and environment-oriented work understanding, has gained popularity in a very short time. Coante General Manager Kenan Erdem said: “Coante, which is the result of devoted and intense work, aims to be a permanent player in the sector. Our company realizes 100 percent domestic production and we are planning to activate the second production line in the near future. Coante is quartz based composite plate factory with the latest Breton technology, with a production capacity of 800,000 square meters / year. Erdem gave the following information about Coante products: “Coante products with high scratch and chemical resistance, non-staining structure are the best solutions in both floor and counter applications. Coante products, which can be applied easily in all areas, where natural stone can be used, are hygienic due to lack of capillary cracks and pores in structure. Moreover, since it is a design product, it brings color and elegance to your life with its wide range of colors.”
100 % domestic production
Kenan Erdem claiming that Turkish people believes with a wrong impression that American and European products are in better quality, explains: “We have started to export Coante, with 100% domestic production, to many countries in Europe and America in a short time. Although we envy the production qualities of these countries, they are buying from us. This is to say that we are as much qualified as they are and have a competitive power in the market. Although our technology is Italian Breton technology, our country is rich and efficient in terms of quartz mines. We use this part of our wealth to make production in world standards. When we look at the content of industrial quartz composite plates, we see 93% quartz and 7% resin and color pigments. If we say that Coante’s production is 100% indigenous that would not be a wrong statement. I believe that we will see the Coante brand in many of the world’s kitchen, bathroom and interior applications soon.”

Erdem said that they believe that the key to having a strong economic structure is domestic and national production and that this production must turn into export with the right strategies. Erdem said, “That is for sure that a productive development can not be achieved via imported production. As Coante, we are proud to be able to achieve this investment in Muğla, which is a city with less employment rate. Although we have been serving to this sector only for 8 months, our achievements make us feel proud. Of course, dreams are limited to your imagination and we have a management and team with wide range of imagination. We aim to be a brand that stands out in the global market by continuing to make investments in technology, R & D and qualified personnel. I believe with all my heart that Coante, which was established with 100% domestic capital, becomes the export leader of the sector in terms of domestic and national production and economic development in the following years.”
