TOKSEL MACHINE has been a prominent machinery manufacturing establishment since 1972, contributing to significant projects in various industries such as textiles, food, and cables. Since 1989, the company has focused on the production of marble machinery, and over the years, it specialized in natural and engineered stone processing machines with the production of mosaic antique finishing machines in 1999, slab polishing machines in 2004, and subsequently, track machines. In an interview with the owners of TOKSEL MACHINE, İsmail Tokmaktepe and Murat Tokmaktepe, we delved into the company’s evolution and successes in the industry in detail.
What is the foundation story of your company and how did you positioned your company in the sector?
Actually our beloved father Hüseyin Tokmaktepe was the one to establish Toksel. He was a natural engineer, a skilled craftsman. We produced machines and equipments for various industries, even contributed to building of the second bosphorus bridge. We experted in stone processing machines since 1989. We built our prestige in this industry by never compromising from quality.
What are the core values of your company and how are these values reflected in the design and production processes of your products?
Our priority has always been customer satisfaction. For this obviously trust and high are crucial values. When you see Toksel signature on a product, you know that high quality standards were strictly applied through all processes of design and production. The materails we use, our experienced team and elaborate after-sales care bring our core values further. We invite our customers to visit our warehouse to witness the high quality of even the smallest components we use in our products.
Can you tell us about your approach to research and development? What is the idea process behind your innovative products?
We are motivated by the beauty in the creation of all stones from around the globe. We shape our innovative strategies according to the needs of stone industry considering the high quality processing that these beautiful stones deserve.
What is the prominent product or product series of your company? What kind of innovations does this product/series offer? Can you write with its features?
Our latest product is the multiwire block cutting machine which we collaborate on with leading Brasilian machinery company AGF. Let’s say we present a unique cutting quality and speed for now. But we are very excited to share further details of this machine with StoneWorld readers soon.
In which markets do you operate and who are your target customers?
Our wide range of products are used in every region of Turkey. Moreover we have customers in the USA and Canada. Actually our machines are operating in 47 countries around the globe. All in all location doesn’t matter; we target for whichever company wishes to process their stones with the quality they deserve.
How does your company contribute to the sector and how does it make a difference compared to other companies in the sector?
Our goal is to represent Turkish machinery industry in the best way with our high quality. Instead of aiming for being the cheapest or the most widespread, we have always aimed for the quality. We are proud to see that our approach is carrying stone processing industry up including our customers and competitors.
Considering the rapid changes in the sector, what are your future product development strategies?
We anticipate developing higher quality technologies with our respect to the unique creation of stones. Stone’s added value as an article of art beyond merely being means of surface coating will be understood better in the near future. Of course we will be building our strategy on higher quality standards as we are contributing this industry.
