The International Surface Event (TISE) Show, which was held in Las Vegas, USA between 18th and 20th of January, creates a privileged target market with its different visitor profile…
The International Surface Event (TISE) Show, which holds an important place among the Las Vegas Design Construction Week events, was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA from January 18 to 20. The show, in which Dimer and HRK Diamond from Turkey participated, hosted a diverse visitor profile once again. In fact, the most important aspect of this fair is the fact that it is different from any other natural stone organizations, including the Coverings Show held in America! This year, in our second year here, we were able to analyze the facts about this fair more detailed since it was necessary to understand the difference and inform the sector.
Visitor Profile of the International Surface Event (TISE)
The visitor profile in the International Surface Event (TISE) was remarkably different from the other sectoral events. But this difference should be analyzed well. TISE is an integrated part of Design Construction Week, which was held with the mission of gathering all the elements of design and construction in America. MIA, one of the important civil society movements of the world natural stone industry is one of the supporters of this fair. MIA, who informed all its members in the whole America about the fair, also organized a training seminar called TISE Education for its members the day before the fair. Architects, interior designers, decoration companies are going to Las Vegas to be a component of this design week.
Four Complementary Fairs
There are many fairs in Las Vegas on the same days. Each of these fairs create individual visitor communities, but the common point of all, which are decoration and design, makes this exhibition attractive. Las Vegas, considered the world’s capital for entertainment and gambling, is an unconditional charm with its grand hotel and gigantic entertainment venues. Looking at the whole of the fair, different decor finishers such as natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, quartz, carpet, wallpaper, wood, plaster materials and alternative paint finishes were exhibited to visitors in Mandalay Bay in the south of Las Vegas.
Three events were held on the north of Las Vegas
NAHB International Builders Show (IBS), the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE) held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the north of the city and The International Surface Event (TISE) held at Mandalay Bay Hotel on the South are all four events within Las Vegas Design Construction Week. TISE’s its own dynamics within itself, Surfaces, Stonexpo Marmomacc Americas and Tile Expo, gathered thousands of architects in Las Vegas. Apart from architects and interior designers, the owners of large sized marble ateliers and warehouses were also present in Las Vegas as well. From a strategic point of view, it is highly reasonable to follow Stonexpo Marmomacc for us with the same reasons we have been following Coverings. We need to increase our presence in the Surfaces Fair while the number of exhibiting component surface materials producers are still low and the visitor rate is high. A different visitor profile is waiting for you at this fair.
Statistics of Surfaces
The Surfaces Show, organized by Verona Marmomacc was composed of American (%65), Chinese (519), Canadian (%5) and Italian (%3) participants. 26 companies took part in the show within the organization of Marmomacc. More than 40 professional architects, interior architects and designers who came to the fair as guests of Marmomacc visited every stand and got information about the products. Guest architects and designers showed interest to the basalt of Dimer. Dimer’s representative Engin Yıldız gave the guests an overview of Dimer’s production and informed them about the variety of Turkish marble. Engin Yildiz, who was asked questions about white marble, gray marble and beige marble varieties, replied all the questions of guests. Yıldız underlined the importance of Marmomacc events in natural stone sector. It was reported that the total number of visitors exceeded 60 thousand in The Surfaces Show. This means that the number of visitors exceeded 20 thousand per day, considering that the fair was a three days event.
