The Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association (IMİB), which has been working to contribute to the development of the sector by organizing activities in order to promote the natural stone products in the target markets, to improve its image and to increase the export potential, has recently organized an important event.
İMİB organized a sectoral trade committee organization to Kishangarh and Mumbai cities of India. Within the scope of the delegation, 15 representatives from 9 companies had important business meetings with 52 purchasing companies.
Representatives from Turkish natural stone companies that paid a visit to India gathered with 52 purchaser companies and signed significant corporation agreements on the first day of their visit in Kishangah. On the second day of the event, the representatives of Turkish natural stone sector, visited A Class Marble and RK Marble companies, which are two of the leading natural stone importing companies in India and on the last day they had important business meetings with India’s leading natural stone companies Classic Marble and Aakash Italian Marble.
Dinçer: We focus on export for sustainable growth
The President of Istanbul Mineral Exporters Association (İMİB), Aydin Dinçer, underlining that the Turkish companies that participated to the delegation visit had the chance to establish important trade contacts in India said: “India imported 391 million tons of natural stone last year and Turkey was the second country to export natural stone to India (The total value of Turkey’s export to India was 84,8 million dollars.) Turkey has % 30 share in India’s natural stone trade. When we look at the 9-month period, the value of Turkey’s total natural stone exports to India is 61.3 million dollars. We have an export-oriented growth strategy. There are always new markets at our scope.”
