Four Big Associations are in Close Contact with the Authorities for the Future of the Industry

Presidents of TÜMMER, IMİB, EMİB, TMD are working together in order to gain momentum and to solve the problems.

The President of Turkey Marble Natural Stone and Machinery Manufacturers Association (TÜMMER) Raif Türk, the President of Istanbul Mineral Exporters Association (İMİB) Aydin Dinçer, the President of Aegean Mineral Exporters Association (EMIB) Mevlüt Kaya and the President of Turkey Miners Association (TMD) Ali Emiroğlu visited the General Manager of Forestry, Bekir Karacabey, the Vice General Manager of Forestry, Zekeriya Mere and the Head of Permission and Alliance Department, Ahmet Çelik

During the visit, in which the problems and solution proposals for Civil Society Organizations were discussed, it was requested that the discount made on Forests Costs by the Law no. 7061, should be applied to the permits that are permissible for operation on grounds of equality.

The Presidents voiced that, during the assessing of the forest permits that need to be taken for mining activities, within the framework of the Prime Ministry Circular no 2012/5, the approval process is taking long. They claimed that with the solution of this problem, which puts the sector in a very difficult situation, the sector would gain momentum.
