The Presidency elections held at İstanbul Mineral Exporters Association, in which three candidates competed for presidency, has been resulted. Aydın Dinçer, who won the elections held at the Foreign Trade Complex in Yenibosna, İstanbul during the 2017 General Assembly, and has became the new president of İMİB.
The presidency elections at Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Union, where three presidential candidates competed have been resulted. In the elections, in which 385 İMİB members voted, the current president Aydin Dinçer was elected as the Chairman of the IMİB Board of Directors with the votes of 177 members. Ergun Efendioğlu received 142 votes while Mustafa Selçuk Çevik received 65 votes. One vote was considered invalid.
“We are determined to elevate our sector”
Aydin Dinçer, who was reappointed as the Chairman of İMİB Board of Directors said: “We are a dynamic sector. Six months ago, we had made a democratic election. Today, we have had a democratic election again. We are determined to move our sector forward with solidarity, friendship and unity. I would like to express my thanks to all our colleagues for supporting us in the election.” During the Assembly meeting, the members discharged the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board and the Union’s budget for 2018 was approved by the consensus of the members.
