Alacakaya Marble, which was established by Kemal Arslan and Cemil Yaşlı in 1984 following the exploration of Rosso Levanto in 1967, today serving to the sector with 8 active quarries. Alacakaya Marble, that has been continuously making investments with an entrepreneur and innovative spirit, introduced their new selections of ‘Premium Gray’ and ‘Love Gray’ to the market from their quarry in Karaman in 2019. Company partner İlhan Yaşlı, stating that Alacakaya aims to produce 30,000 tons of Premium Gray and 4,000 / 5,000 tons of Love Gray in 2019 said: “We are planning to give these products to our current markets. We will have a new quarry investment recently. We will add a very nice product to our product range.”

Economic Hardships have Affected Production
İlhan Yaşlı, explaining that the companies have been affected by the economic hardships around the world said: “As a company, we have 480,000 square meters of production capacity including 120.000 tons of block capacity. However, due to the economic situation in the world, our current production is as low as 300.000 square meters of plate and cut to size material.”

Fairs Have Lost Appeal
Yaşlı stated that Alacakaya will be participating to Italy and Verona Fairs in 2019 and Izmir Marble and Xiamen (China) Fairs in 2020. He also added that the sectoral fairs have lost their appeal against face to face meetings and visits.”
